DP World Senegal hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
Key accountabilities:
-Responsible for performing, inspection and quality assurance of emergency, preventive and corrective Mechanical Maintenance of Ship-to- Shore Gantry Cranes (04 cranes), Rubber-Tired Gantry Cranes (14 RTGs) – 1 Mobile crane;
-Performing and leading the team to do the big mech jobs such as “but not limited to” :
-Cranes wire ropes inspection and replacement;
-Cranes brakes maintenance like “Bubenzer, Pintsch Bamag, ZPMC”;
-Trolley, Gantry wheels replacement and Trolley alignments;
-Diesel Engines;
-Motors and gearboxes.
-Assist in establishing preventive and predictive maintenance inspections programs on terminal cranes;
-Requesting repair spare parts;
-Follow up the spare parts consumption and reorders;
-Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams;
-Provide prompt and accurate feedback to the crane manager and tec manager;
-Ensure proper recording and closure of all issues physically and in Maximo;
-Prepare accurate and timely reports;
-Document knowledge in the form of knowledge base tech notes and articles;
-Preparing the required SOP for all Mech jobs;
-Raise the safety awareness and culture of the team;
-Focus on continuous improvement, 5S implementation.

Indirect Reports: All Crane team
Job requirements :
-8 years at least in the container terminal maintenance field with STS and RTG operation;
-B.SC of Mechanical engineering from reputed university;
-MS office skills;
-Very good English language-French will be additional advantage;
-Maximo experience will be advantage.
