Purpose of the Job

To take a medium term approach to developing business opportunities within new and existing markets. To establish relationships with stakeholders and gain as much competitive advantage for Aggreko as possible. To provide the sales teams with very high probability of awards for them to conclude.

The Sales Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for prospecting, qualifying leads and generating new sales opportunities to support the Business Development Managers. This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential!

Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities

  • Source new business opportunities across allocated markets
  • Analyze marketing trends and continually build a knowledge of industry trends, opportunities and innovations to create valid business reasons
  • Research and prospect new business
  • Analyzes the market’s potential, researches account, identifies key players and generates interest
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel
  • Take a consultative approach to understanding customer needs and identifying the right Aggreko solution to solve those business challenges
  • Conduct a needs analysis and determine prospects pain points to determine how Aggreko’s service offerings will speak to those needs
  • Finds new and innovative ways of engaging with prospects
  • Routs qualified opportunities to the appropriate business development managers for further development and closure
  • Reports database and prospecting activities into the CRM system
  • Ensures that project pipeline remains optimized for continuous project business growth
  • Adept at prospecting and understanding of the consumer sales cycle (i.e. prospecting, overcoming objections and setting appointments)
  • Aggreko places a strong emphasis on health, operational safety and environmental protection.  It is a requirement and moral obligation of each employee to be actively committed and accountable for compliance to the Aggreko Health, Safety & Environmental policies, operating procedures and compliance to local legislation.

 Person Specification/Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree, technical discipline may be advantageous
  • Have « hands-on » approach on Power sector and be prepared to generate actionable partnership ideas without significant direction
  • Good knowledge of customer economics, with ability to identify and develop new business solutions in Power generation
  • Experience in customer exposure at executive level in power generation or other industrial equipment industries
  • Proven work experience as a Sales/Commercial/BD in Energy Industry
  • A proven track record of strong client relationships.
  • Good knowledge of customer economics, with ability to identify and develop new business solutions in Power generation
  • 3 years of Sales prospecting experience in Energy Industry with proven track record in developing business and generating new opportunities pipeline.
  • Approximately 50% – 70% travel is required.
